We slept reasonably well in the
Bann Pantai Resort in
Cha-am, and for a first night in a different environment it is not too bad.
The bathroom is also very nice, plenty of hot water and space for a good shower.
The breakfast is as we are used to in this hotel, there is a sufficient choice of Thai and
Western dishes and the service is very friendly.
The cats also show themselves during breakfast, one is quite pregnant.
Pia has a bathing suit with her, but she wants another one, so we are going to
Hua Hin today to look for a new bathing suit there.
First we will have a look at Market Village
Hua Hin, a large modern shopping mall in the south of Hua Hin.
It is very quiet when we arrive, with more than enough parking space.
We walk around, look in shops with sportswear and at stalls elsewhere in the mall, but Pia
doesn't like anything.
In the end we go to Tesco Lotus, and Pia finds
something there, still not quite what she wants, but it is better than the rest.
On the way back to Cha-am we stop at The Venezia, a kind of amusement park cum shopping center. Extra money is requested for various things, such as a boat trip (of 50 meters), a 3D painting exhibition, a music garden and more. It is not much, and about the shops, they are closed or empty. Only the shop immediately after the entrance is still in operation. Money knocking.
A little further we eat a sandwich at The Baguette Cha-am 2016, a bread shop outside Cha-am where it is quite busy. The rest of the afternoon we sit on the terrace of our room doing nothing. In the evening we walk a bit along the beach, to the north, and eat something on the beach south of the hotel. The food is decent.

We tell what we have done and experienced during a trip and we also tell what we think about it; no more and no less.
This is not a travel guide, nor is it advice to visit a place or not.
There are other sites for that.
Our opinion about places where we have eaten, drunk or slept is not intended as a (positive or negative) assessment,
there are other sites for that.
It is our view of the situation at a certain moment and that view is influenced by our mood,
the weather and many other factors.
